Gary Dutton won his fourth IMCA Sport Mods main event by at Bakersfield Speedway Saturday night. Starting sixth for the night, Dutton passed Jason Nation on lap 17 and stayed car lengths ahead for the last eight laps.

“The track was nice, and Gary’s pretty good, so I don’t mind finishing second to him,” Nation said.

Brylon Holder placed third and Nick Spainhoward raced his way through the pack to end in fourth.

Another name was added to the long list of IMCA Modifieds winners as Ryan Daves lead the 25-Lap Main and earned his first win of the year.

“If feels great” Daves said.

Justin Schweitzer placed second, John Piker was third and Cody Laney came in fourth.

Garner battled his way to the front, taking second place on lap 27. Shannon McQueen stayed in the front of the pack the whole race, ending in third.

Racing in a new car, Jason Womac won his heat race and maintained his lead of the 20-lap Mini Stock Main, winning his first track feature. “I just picked up this car a few days ago,” a happy Womac said. “We worked on a few things, and I guess it worked out.” Misty Warren moved her way through the pack to place second and Ken Shugarts was third.
