In regards to Saturday night March 20^th post race tech inspection of the American Stock division, it has become apparent that a certain rule needs to be addressed. In my investigation of the situation, it has been discovered that an agreement was reached between tech officials and racers to allow a 1” spacer on leaf spring cars to help with the securely mounting of the leaf springs to the rear end while utilizing the stock pads. While this agreement was agreed upon and enforced over the past seasons, it was never been updated or posted in the current American stock rules. This situation is no one’s fault but the track management for not updating the rules effectively. I will carry this blame solely myself for the confusion and misfortune it has caused. Furthermore, I feel it would be unfair to disqualify any car for this rule because of my mistake. Therefore effective immediately the rule will be updated and will be enforced on the April 17^th event and thereafter.

The rule will be as follows:

1” steel non adjustable spacer allowed with stock pads on leaf spring cars only.  No aftermarket pads on rear ends allowed.
