BAKERSFIELD, CA. – Bakersfield Speedway, the longest continually running racing facility on the West Coast will play host to the 3rd Annual Racing for Wishes Night at the Speedway presented by RealFast.tv on this Saturday, June 1st.

The storied, 1/3 mile high banked clay oval has been a Saturday night tradition in Kern County since 1946. A large field of IMCA Modifieds is expected to be scrapping for 22 starting spots in the 30 lap contest paying $1500.00 to the winner.Racing gets underway at 6 p.m. H&S Body Works Hobby Stocks, Melo’s Gas N Gear American Stocks, GoLiveStream Mini Dwarfs and USAC Ignite Midgets will also be on the card.

Racing for Wishes Night was started at the Speedway as a way for the racing community to help grant wishes for local Bakersfield Make-A-Wish kids as 100% of the money raised at the event stays in Kern County. Donations, Raffles, Pass the helmet and portions of ticket sale have helped boost the event into a very popular and successful night for Make-A-Wish.
