2020 BUDWEISER NATIONALS CANCELED

Bakersfield Speedway officials have announced today that the 2020 Budweiser Nationals have been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.

The historic one third-mile high banked clay oval’s biggest and most-famous event was scheduled for October 9th & 10th.

Despite the racetrack owner’s tremendous pursuit to work with the state and county to reopen the racetrack, Kern County Department of Health’s orders which restrict mass gatherings and prohibit spectators from grandstand events at large venues remain in effect.

“We tried all we could to hold this event with fans but to no luck. This is too large of an event to undertake with the restrictions they have on us currently. We will look to be back in 2021 with the best Bud Nationals yet” stated racetrack owner Scott Schweitzer.
