Mid Cal Motorsports To Award Chassis To A Modified Driver

Mid Cal Fabrication / Motorsports has returned as the official sponsor of the IMCA Modified division at the Bakersfield Speedway. At the conclusion of the 2012 race season, one lucky driver from the modified division will take home a brand new ONIT chassis courtesy of Mid Cal Motorsports. The IMCA Modifieds will open their 2012 season at the West’s Fastest 1/3 Mile Clay Oval Saturday March 3rd.

“On behalf of the modified division and the Bakersfield Speedway, I would like to thank Mid Cal Motorsports owner Joey Yantis for doing this,” Bakersfield promoter Scott Schweitzer said. “Joey and his guy’s are building some top notch stuff over at his shop.  As a returning sponsor of the division and then to offer this up is a big gesture on his part to support the track and the division.”

The ONIT chassis will be given away via a reverse drawing at the last points race of 2012. To be eligible to win the chassis, drivers can only have missed one race all season long.

“At the last point’s race September 29th, we will put all the eligible drivers’ names into a hat, bring the drivers down on the front straight and have a reverse drawing,” Schweitzer said. “The last name we pull out will take home the chassis.”
